WHAT IS BREATHWORK?

 BREATHWORK is BREATHING EXERCISES

which have a therapeutic influence on one’s mental, emotional and physical state. 

Many different cultures have harnessed the power of the breath over many centuries and modern BREATHWORK has its roots in yoga practice.  

The very first and very last thing we do is BREATHE......

  

In our modern world, many people suffer from anxiety, stress, panic attacks, nervous disorders, troubled sleep etc..


With BREATHWORK we aim to counteract ‘disordered breathing’ which often happens during panic attacks or heightened states of anxiety. 


When the oxygen and carbon dioxide levels are disrupted, this can lead to dizziness, rise in body temperature, sweating, loss of focus and concentration which then increases anxiety, panic or nervousness. 

A vicious circle. 


We can control our body and mind by taking control of our breath and easing these symptoms immediately. 


Small adjustments can lead to big improvements

MECHANICS: inhaled air contains 21% O2 while exhaled breath contains approximately 16% O2 and 5% CO2

BREATHING affects the body in many ways, influencing oxygen delivery, nervous system balance, and overall well-being. Such as:

  •  Biochemical
    the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide (CO₂) in your body, affecting energy levels and endurance
  • Functional -assessing respiratory muscle function, diaphragmatic control, breathing mechanics
  •  Psychophysiological
    influencing the nervous system, helping regulate stress, focus, and emotional well-being

    Sessions timings: 15-20mins


    We offer either regular or ad-hoc sessions, which take place at your school/ office/studio/home at a time of your convenience. 


    This can be during lunch-times, mid-morning, end of the workday or as part of a staff away day or corporate retreat.

    Sessions start at AED200


    No equipment is needed

    Class timings: 1hr 30mins


    We offer either private 1:1 or group classes. 


    We love to practise outdoors in cooler weather. You can choose between our beach location or one of two different grass and lawn areas. Its entirely your choice! 

    Indoor classes take place at our private gym space. 


    Classes can also be accommodated at your own home or private studio.  


    All our services are based around

    YOUR CONVENIENCE

     and likewise with costs.  

    Sessions are paid per class, no subscription or membership is required. 

    Private Classes start from AED500


    All abilities are catered for:

    • Yoga For Children
    • Yoga For Seniors (including CHAIR YOGA)
    • Those recovering from injury or with mobility restrictions

    We perform gentle and dynamic breathing exercises, depending on your needs and we can cater to specific problems or issues.

    Participants feel calmer, more alert, focused and energised.  


    No! Nothing at all. BREATHWORK sessions fit easily into your life at anytime, any place, completely hassle free and when you have a spare 15minutes. 


    We encourage you to do so! Feel the effects of breathing techniques and BREATHWORK practices on lowering blood pressure and heart rate, calming the mind and easing disorientation.
